I am a qualified nutritional therapist and functional medicine practitioner. I have been practising for over 12 years. I have worked with hundreds of patients, both adults and children, from around the world, with a variety of different illnesses and needs. Over this time I have seen amazing results and also I am living proof that nutritional medicine can have a powerful impact on health.
The beauty of nutritional therapy is that it can have a positive impact on so many health problems. Conditions I have worked with, but not limited to:
- Chronic fatigue syndrome /ME/fibromyalgia
- Metabolic diseases such as diabetes, fatty liver and cardiovascular disease
- Food intolerances/sensitivities
- Autoimmune disease like Hashimoto’s and rheumatoid arthritis
- Irritable bowel syndrome, SIBO and other gut disorders
- Chronic infections including Epstein Barr (EBV) and Lyme disease/ co-infections
- Disordered eating
- Premenstrual Stress(PMS)/Menopause/Hormonal imbalance
- Obesity
- Cognitive decline / dementia
- Depression and anxiety
- Headaches/ migraines
- Skin complaints including eczema and acne
I have a degree in Nutritional Medicine, which means I am trained to understand how foods and their nutrients influence the function and health of the body. My training also includes functional medicine, which is the practice of identifying and addressing the root cause of disease.
I am a member of the British Association of Nutritional Therapy (BANT) and Complementary and Natural Healthcare Council (CNHC), which means I have trained to the highest national occupation standards, carry professional insurance and will continue to train through monitored professional development programmes.
For 7 years I was part of the clinical team at Breakspear Medical Group, a world renowned environmental medicine clinic, where I collaborated with doctors like by Dr Jean Monro and Professor Basant Puri. Breakspear’s patients travelled from all over the world for treatment for various illnesses including food and chemical sensitivities, chronic infection including Lyme disease, ME/CFS, autoimmune disease and gastrointestinal disease.
My experience also includes giving talks to public and businesses and writing health articles for various publications.
4 years ago I founded The Nutritional Medicine Clinic consulting with patients via Zoom, phone and in person. To find out more, please contact me
“Struggling with energy levels and sugar dependency, Michele’s expertise helped me work out a food plan that worked for me and my lifestyle. Michele gave me a realistic plan that was accessible and flexible to social activities & indulgence; she always welcomed feedback and honesty to allow for optimum guidance so I never felt in trouble if I went off track! I still use her eating plan every day, it has helped massively with my energy levels in the morning, instead of that sugar dive and reaching for a quick chocolate hit, Michele created a nutrition plan that keeps me alert throughout the morning and matches my natural sugar levels so I no longer have that craving. Through small nutrition steps Michele’s advice and expertise has really helped many areas of my life: including energy and mood. I would recommend her to anyone from specialist cases to those just wanting a boost!”.
